One Twenty Five

Recognize the mirror? I popped by the good old office today to check in and say hello.

Old Boss: Liz! You’re here!
Me: I’m here!
Old Boss: In a word, how was your trip?
Me: Ummm… spectacular
Old Boss: Great. Heading into a meeting now. It was great to see you.

And… the office is as busy as ever.

I must admit, it was a little odd being back in a world I once knew so well… where red and green numbers flicker on monitors, and the day’s news of the Dow scrolling along tv screens.  That whole life seems like another world away, like this far off dream of cubicles, calculators and high heels. It was odd, very odd.

I can’t say I slightly regret my decision or miss the routine (well, I do miss the paychecks!), but it was nice to be in my old hood again, see my colleagues, and visit where I spent four years of my life
