- Do you know it’s -7 (19F) in Toronto?
- Do you know it’s 28 (83F) in Melbourne?
- Do you know exactly two weeks from this moment I’ll be on a 27 hour plane ride from Toronto to Melbourne?
- Do you know how lazy I was this weekend?
- Do you know how poorly I ate this weekend?
- Do you know how I keep promising myself I’ll do things, then go on the Internet and/or watch tv and/or do nothing?
- Do you know for the last two weeks I’ve promised myself every day I’ll be better tomorrow, start fresh tomorrow, but today is never tomorrow?
- Do you know how tight my clothes are?
- Do you know how messy my room is?
- Do you know how chipped my nails are?
- Do you know how little I’ve run lately?
- Do you know how much I don’t like the person I am lately?
- Do you know I look to photos of myself from this time last year for inspiration?
- Do you know that I’m edging towards that moment of change, I can feel it coming?
- Do you know that moment I’m talking about? The moment you decide enough is enough, I can’t go on like this, something has to change?
Something has to change. Maybe I could continue on with the lazy and eating too much thing if I was maintaining, but I’m not. Every morning that number between my toes is just creeping up, and up, and up.
It stops now.
It has to stop now.
It’s time.
Tomorrow is Monday. Tomorrow I’ll run as far as I can, as slow as I need to go. Tomorrow I’ll paint my nails and do two loads of laundry. Tomorrow I’ll work on my resume. Tomorrow I’ll go horse-riding (get. out. the. house.). Tomorrow I’ll track my food.
Tomorrow I’ll begin [again]. It’s time.
